International Mercantile Marine Company Stock Certificate Titanic
Company owned the White Star Lines, which built and operated the Titanic.
This very rare, original, and historic 5000 Dollar Bond was issued by the company that owned the Titanic, International Mercantile Marine, which in turn was controlled by JP Morgan.
Measuring an enormous 9.5" x 13.5", this stunning olive certificate has the famous ship vignette found on the the I.M.M. stocks.
Flanking the vignette are two huge bold $5000's!! At the lower left is a huge embossed circular seal encircled by a knotted rope, in which the company name is spelled out in huge letters.
The certificate was engraved in 1916 and issued in 1928. It was payable in GOLD COIN! It is handsigned by the Vice President and Secretary of I.M.M.
Beautifully created using the ancient intaglio technique by the esteemed American Bank Note Co. (prestigious printer of American currency).
