Bahamas 2500 Dollars Gold Coin 1974 Flamingos
The obverse features the Coat of Arms of the Bahamas (7 December 1971) and inscription "THE COMMONWEALTH OF THE BAHAMAS"." The reverse shows two Flamingos with plant life at their feet and standing before a radiant sunset on the horizon. The inscription "TWENTY-FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS" (bottom, year between spacers/dots - 1974). These coins were minted to proof quality using special dies and polished blanks.
