Comment: St. Rupert standing right, holding covered salt cellar in right hand and crozier in left, and St. Virgil standing left, holding crozier in right hand and pointing to cathedral with left. Engraver´s initials (P-S) on either side of arms.
Reverse: Nimbate St. Martin of Tours in episcopal regalia with goose at feet standing left, raising right hand in benediction and holding crozier in left, and the martyrs Vincentius, in deaconal vestments, Hermes, in military outfit and holding sword set on ground in left hand, Chrysanthus, in military outfit and holding rock in left hand, and Daria, holding rock in right hand, each holding palm, standing below clouds with rays of the sun breaking through.

Silver thaler, issued by the Bishopric of Salzburg on its 1100th anniversary. The festivities during that year included a procession during which relics of the depicted saints (St. Martin, Vincentius, Hermes, Chrysanthus & Daria) were carried thru the streets of the City in a long procession. This is why this type is also known as the 7-Saints thaler.
